Yes — you need either an Instagram Business or Creator account to access the Meta Graph API. Personal accounts are not supported. Switching is free and takes about 30 seconds in the Instagram app.
IGSender uses the official Meta Graph API — the same API Instagram itself provides to developers. We don't use browser automation, scraping, or any unofficial methods. As with any tool, we recommend following Instagram's Community Guidelines and rate limits.
It means Meta checked us twice. First, Access verification (Tech Provider): Meta verified that IGSender is a real, registered business before letting it handle other businesses' Instagram data through the official API. Second, App Review: Meta inspected how the app works, what data it touches and how it handles your account before granting the Instagram messaging and comments permissions. Both are process outcomes, not endorsements — Meta does not recommend IGSender, and we are not in the Meta Business Partner programme, which is a separate advertising-focused programme.
